Cause of death: sullen insanity.

Her surname was quite possibly Poling or Poulden. Several women with these maiden names witnessed each others' marriages or were informants at death. One daughter of Elizabeth married a son of Eleanor Poling of Petersfield. However, any relationship between Elizabeth and Frances appears to be no closer than first cousin. So many Portsmouth records have been lost, parish records pre 1812 are not very detailed, and because Elizabeth died pre 1851, I only have her birthplace as Hampshire.
