Oh my goodness Elizabeth, how did you find that?
I've looked for ages and we went to the National Library when we went to Dublin recently, but couldn't find it (the records were in a terrible condition though) How do I get more info please? It looks very promising, thank you. x

Morf, I looked at the register entry and there is no more information, unfortunately.
Click on the link I gave. Scroll down to "View the church register page containing this record". I found the entry difficult to find at first - you need to enlarge the page. It's on the left-hand side underneath the crossings-out. However, I think it might be 1820 not 1821.

I think it indicates that they married by Banns.
I suppose the only other thing you could do is to try to find a record of the Banns to see what they say - where both parties lived, for example. I'm pleased I could help.

Morf, now you know the church where they married - i.e. St James, Dublin, could you make contact with the appropriate authorities in Ireland to see if the banns survive?
I know nothing about Irish genealogy, so I'm afraid I don't know who you would need to contact, but there must be a record office or somewhere that holds the records for St James.
