Isabella's burial is on Durham Records Online. It's a pay site so you'd need to buy credits to view her entry.

She's more than likely buried at Ryhope Cemetery, Burdon Lane, Ryhope.

Thanks Kate and Jay.

Bought some credits and it was in Ryhope and found a couple of other records for other people too.

That looks like their marriage - found a baptism for Isabella Fotheringal in Tanfield for the correct time (1851 census says she was born in Beamish which is just down the road.)

There's wasn't a CofE Church at Beamish until 1876, prior to that St Margaret, Tanfield was were people were baptised, married & buried so I would think the baptism you've found would be her.

Durham Records Online have Washington baptisms 1813 - 1827

Searching surname Nicholson with parents Jonathan & Isabella brings 4 results

William 1818
Mary Ann 1821
James 1828
Jane 1838

The first 3 should be at Washington & you should be able to find these by browsing the BT's rather than use credits on DRO.

Jane's baptism might be at St Andrew, Lamesley & the BT's are also on the Beta site.

Thanks Jay.

I've found William and their son Joseph (parents are given as John and Isabella, but definately them).

Will have a look for the others.
