UK Medal databases - ancestry
Not sure how likely you are to find a relly, but worth a try:

Oh yes, I've found my 2xg-grandfather in the Military Campaign medal rolls. I have seen transcriptions before and it may be available on other websites but if you have an ancestry sub, definitely worth a look.

I've found my GG Grandfather, but There is no image. Is it just the list of names or should there be an imge?

There should be an image, Wendy. What are the details? I'll see if I get an image.
By the way, I should have said the indexes are free even if you don't have a sub. |

Sorry Kate, been busy.
It's Joseph Jacques Reg No 957 4th Battn Dragoon Guards Crimea. Think they have a problem though as it won't bring up your link anymore.

How odd! they seem to have taken them off again. I found them under the New Records section this morning and now they've gone. Curious....

I've got the images back! Has everyone else? I can see your Joseph Jacques, Wendy, so let me know if you still can't get the images and want them sent to you. I had the best laugh I've had all day when I saw ancestry's transcription which said he was in the "4th Battalion Dragon Guards"! Wouldn't that be cool?!
