Default Henry Brook

Henry Brook is born just too early!

This is the reference for him in 1851: aged 36, born Stepney, with wife Mary aged 36 born West Ham, Essex and son Henry aged 15 born Stepney.

HO107 piece 1551 folio 273 page 30

So, he married circa 1836 and Henry was born circa 1836

This is possibly the same couple in 1861:

RG09 piece 285 folio 51 page 43

Henry is now a greengrocer, born Shoreditch. Mary is born Holborn and their is a neice Jure? (possibly Jane but the middle two letters are definitely UR) Miller aged 18.

And then they disappear

Can anybody spot:

A marriage of Henry to Mary?
The baptism of Henry, son of Henry?

There are two other Henry Brooks floating around of similar age and both married to Esthers (and both with sons Henry) just to muddy the waters.

If the 1851 and the 1861 are the same people, who is that Charles Yores (or whatever it says) aged 15 'son' on the 1861 census? Surely likely to be the son of Mrs Brook - so not the same Mrs Brook (if it's the same Mr Brook, that is!)

Oh Blink!

That's Charles Jones by the looks of things. So, Mary dies and he marries another Mary, so he doesn't have to remember the name?

Or is this a new Henry

I can't see a marriage to a Mary Jones 1845-1861. Nor can I find a sensible match for Charles Jones in 1851.

With my luck, this might be them in 1851!

(The only only possible Jones marriage is to a Martha, but she could have had several husbands between Mr Jones and Mr Brook!)

lol!

I'm a little confused about which family it is that you know is 'yours' and need to find elsewhere.
