Default Mystery occupation on 1841 census

Could someone have a look at the following please:

HO107. Chelsea,Middlesex. Piece 688. Book 10. Folio 5. Page 8.

Third entry down on the right-hand page is for ELIZABETH WYATT aged 35 born Middlesex. Her occupation looks like "Whitster" to me and I can't think what it might really be. There are several other "Whitsters" on the same pages, all of them women. I think Elizabeth was probably a widow but some of the others appear to have husbands so I don't think that is the explanation.

Can anyone make anything of this word please?
