I was googling something and got side tracked and found a catalogue of an art exhibition held in 1894 that had a portrait of my 5g grandfather David Russell of Woodside.

I can not find a picture of the portrait anywhere.

The picture was loaned by William D Russell of Maulside. I wonder whether the painting could still be at Maulside.

I think Maulside is up for sale, assuming it is a house and not an area.

William David Russell was the great grandson of David Russell my 5g grandfather, according to a geni.com tree. I haven't done a lot of research on William's line and neither has the owner of the tree I found.
