Ohhhhh!!! They did come from Middlesex, though I've never heard Bow after it. I thought it said "User Bow" lol

Thanks, Kate.

Bow (aka Stratford-le-bow) is a district in east London, now in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Beware - It is sometimes said that to be a true Cockney you need to be born within earshot of the sound of Bow Bells and that these are the bells of Bow Church in the heart of Bow. However, that is incorrect as the saying actually refers to St Mary-le-Bow, which is approximately three miles west on Cheapside, in the City of London.

I don't want to give the wrong info abut the occ in the baptism entry you have posted and at the moment I'm not sure what it says out of a couple of possibilities. Could you either give a link to the image or tell us who it's for and the year? I need to see more of the page and maybe the pages either side.

No I couldn't read that but perhaps as Merry said it might help if we saw all the image. To compare writing style.

Have you never heard of The Bow Street Runners ? maybe not being in Australia .
The Bow Street Runners were the very first Policemen in the world to get paid a weekly wage in around 1750 - they were stationed in East London so I presume in Stratford Le BOW ??...Merry might educate me on this ?...in fact I will google it for curiosity.
