Irish search.
A little while ago, someone, somewhere.....found what I think may be Cornelius and Catherine Londrigan's deaths in Cork.
Now, for the life of me, I cannot remember where I wrote it or where I saw it. I could have been imagining it all.......lol Cornelius Londrigan married Catherine Fitzgerald. I presume this was in Cork as their daughter, Hannah, was born there in 1861. All of this info is from Hannah's 1883 marriage cert in New Zealand. I remember seeing a death/burial for Cornelius and one for Catherine, but, from memory, both times Londrigan had different spelling. The records were from Mitchelstown, Cork, Ireland and that is all I can remember. Any ideas?

I couldn't find any thread by you on this site with the word Mitchelstown in it, so thought it's easier just to look up the deaths again! I found this one:
Name: Cornelious Landrigan Estimated birth year: abt 1809 Date of Registration: 1874 Death Age: 65 Registration district: Mitchelstown Volume: 19 Page: 485 FHL Film Number: 101587 There's also this one, which may or may not be the same surname! Name: Cornelius Lonergan Estimated birth year: abt 1839 Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1915 Death Age: 76 Registration district: Mitchelstown Volume: 4 Page: 464 FHL Film Number: 0101606 I only found one Catherine and her age fits better with the second Cornelius: Name: Catherine Londrigan Estimated birth year: abt 1836 Date of Registration: 1866 Death Age: 30 Registration district: Mitchelstown Volume: 19 Page: 494 FHL Film Number: 101583

But the problem with the bap I just posted is that there's also this one:
Maurice Lonergan Baptism 24 Aug 1868 Mitchelstown, Cork Cornelius, Catherine some time after Catherine apparently died.

On the other hand, if the 1809 Cornelius was married to a Catherine and she wasn't the one who died in 1866, this could be his widow remarrying:
Marriage Civil Registrations Name: Catherine Lonerigan Date of Registration: 1875 Registration district: Mitchelstown, Ireland Volume: 4 Page Number: 681 FHL Film Number: 101252 ........or not!

Catherine's maiden name on Michael's and Maurice's baptisms is Mackissy.

Oh, I didn't realise maiden names would be included, so didn't look.

Thank you. I've taken the Catherine (nee Fitzgerald) from Hannah's marriage cert. I suppose Cornelius could have married a second Catherine if the first one died. Hannah says she was born in 1861 so if the 1866 death is her mother, she would have been about five.
Hannah's second son was named Michael (my grandfather) and the next one was Maurice. They are not uncommon names though. I might see if I can get those death certs. Would anyone know how I do that? I've never found a birth for Hannah. Can I ask where you found those records?
