I think my Richard Simpson appears in these records. Can someone please have a look and help me?

Given Elkanah Jenkinson was given the warrent does that mean Elkanah had something to do with the crime or was he just a person who executed summons? (Elkanah is male, I thought he was the woman who had the child but this is not the case).

Elkanah married a woman called Rachel in 1804 and they had a child, John, in 1804. Given the warrant was issued in 1810 it isn't likely the child my Richard is supposed to have fathered was John is it?

The warrant lists others who helped Richard escape from custody. Can anyone find any details of a Christiana Simpson who I think is Richard's sister but I can't find anything now.

I don't know but suspect James Forrest is Richard's BIL and William Sugden's sister Rebecca marries Richard's brother in 1815.

Richard stays in the area and marries Susannah Wilkinson later in 1810 but I can find no record of any other court proceedings. Would it have just been dropped?

Yes it looks like Elkanah Jenkinson arrested Richard Simpson but James Forrest an innkeeper and his wife Ann, his sister Christiana Simpson a single woman, together with Richard Fenton, William Roe and William Sugden all labourers intervened and forcibly released him.

At the top of the next page it says "Wakefield Sessions January 1811 Quashed".

It means the conviction was overturned (I think).
