Default Are these the same families?

1861 Census
http://interactive.ancestry.co.uk/87...d=&usePUB=true
Francis Bell with wife Mary, children Elizabeth, James, Ann, John, Alexander and Robert.

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...iv=1&ml_rpos=2
Francis Bell with wife Mary and children Ann, Alexander and Robert.

The occupation is different and ages slightly out.

I can't find another family in 1861 to match the one in 1871, so I think they must be the same people.

Thanks, Kate. I'm having problems finding them after 1871 except for Alexander Bell who is married in 1881 with wife Mary A, son John J, and daughters Mary A and Catherine.

This is the family in 1851, which should give more accurate ages:

FamilySearch has John Bell, son of Francis, marrying Hannah Lowes, daughter of Edward Lowes, 1885, All Saints, Newcastle upon Tyne, but his age is given as 30. I'll see if I can find them in 1891...

Edit - too many possibles!

I've just been recording the information from the marriage certificate of Catherine Bell, daughter of Alexander Bell (deceased) to John Dron Bruce. The two witnesses are George Sinton and Mary Ann Sinton. At first I thought this was Catherine's sister, but in fact it turns out to be her mother Mary Ann Bell remarrying.

She married Frederick George T Sinton in 1895. They appear on the 1911 census together with Alexander's sister, also Mary Ann, and Catherine Bruce's daughter Mary Ann:
