Default Violet Louisa Rayner

"My wicked aunt"

Married James Sayer in 1945. So, I should have two bites at the cherry in 1939.

She was born in 1895 and this is her in 1911:

But she was probably on the verge of leaving Norfolk then. Can anyone spot her in 1939? She was known for imposing on her relations, but I can't see her

Her dob is 5 Feb 1895 (at death). Just getting in the bath, so hopefully you will have found her by the time I've finished!

Oooh, but she was baptised before she was born, on 27 Jan 1895.

The despair of her family. Married a sponger. Had a far more exciting life than her siblings and once (clearly before she married) went to Paris with a man.

FamilySearch has the Norfolk electoral registers up to 1952, but I don't think they are all indexed yet. So you could use the browse to see when Violet stops being listed there on the electoral register?

It looks as if in 1933 she is at 42 Montagu Square, London W1 with the Bains family. I know she was a servant and a cordon bleu cook, so that probably is her, topping the list of servants (all female). But I get the impression that she never stayed anywhere long. When I first came to know her, in the 70s, all her possessions could be housed in a suitcase.
