Default Ann Baxtor

One of my shadowy ancestors.

All I know for certain about Ann is that she married Edwards West 13 October 1741 in Edgefield, Norfolk and went to have at least four children by him: Edward, Mary, John and another Mary in 1750.

I don't know when she died, there is no surviving gravestone and certainly no will.

A possible baptism is Anne Baxter, daughter of John Baxter and Ann bp 30 July 1717 in Itteringham, Norfolk. I have comfortably walked from Holt to Edgefield: Itteringham to Edgefield is a comparable distance in the opposite direction.

I note that the Freereg reference for the baptism comes from the ATs, which are sparse for the parish and period. It would be worth my while checking original registers when I next get a chance, if they survive as that Ann appears to have elder siblings who have a mother Elizabeth.
