Default Bristol baptisms, marriages and burials - findmypast

The link they gave just takes you to a general page, but if you click on "A-Z of record sets" and then type "Bristol" in the box, you will find them.

I was getting excited when I saw this, but it is just indexes, not the actual images. They are transcribed by the Gloucestershire Family History Society.

I like the description of Gloucestershire in FMP's blurb about the new databases, considering that they are actually Bristol ones! : Gloucestershire borders the Welsh county of Monmouthshire and the English counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Bristol and Somerset.

Here are the links:
Bristol Baptism Index 1660-1914
Bristol Marriage Index 1644-1939
Bristol Burial Index 1625-1950

Shame it doesn't go back further.

I can't find much on the marriage index before 1837.

Smith 1826 +/-10 years - 31 results

Smith 1846 +/-10 years - 799 results

I found a list of parishes included, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to give the date range for each parish.

Thanks for that, Kate. I guess they don't want to show the dates because most of the data is extremely late in the range given!
