Cold on the terrace at Windsor?!!
Can this really be the reason Arnold Heap was discharged from the army?
http://search.findmypast.co.uk/recor...f1863%2f352244 My only interest in poor Arnold is that he was discharged from the Scots Guards at about the same time as Thomas Henry Mason and I was looking for a service record to see whether where people were discharged who left the Guards at this time.

Looking at the newspapers for 18th Nov 1874, I can't see any reports of unseasonably cold weather.
