Default Will abstracts and indexes - findmypast

I believe most or all of these are from British Origins:

London Court of Husting Will Abstracts 1258-1688

Somerset Medieval Will Abstracts 1385-1558

York Peculiars Probate Index 1383-1883

Oxfordshire Wills 1516-1857 - includes images of original documents!

Index to Lancashire Wills Proved at Richmond 1457-1812

London and Middlesex Will Abstracts 1700-1704

Surrey PCC Will Abstracts 1736-1794

England and Wales Published Wills and Probate Indexes 1300-1858

Hertfordshire Probate Records Index 1415-1858

I don't know why they have called the Oxfordshire database Oxfordshire Wills Index when it actually contains images of the actual wills, inventories, etc. Please post on here if you find any more "indexes" that actually contain images of wills!

I have already purchased most of the wills I needed for Oxfordshire from Origins. There are still some more I can download and transcribe, in the hope they prove to be connected.

The FMP Oxfordshire Wills database doesn't seem to work today. if I enter a surname only, I get results, but can only look at the first page of them. If I click another page number I get 0 results. If I enter more info to get a smaller number of results I get none again, including not getting any of the results I saved yesterday.

Can someone else see if it's the same for them please?

Merry, it's not working for me either. I entered just a surname I knew I should get 3 or 4 pages of hits for and nothing came up in the results.

How frustrating! I'm trying to sort out my 17/18thC Smiths and I can't do a thing without that index.

Thanks for confirming it's not just me Elizabeth

I have found a will on the Herts Wills for John Ware of Sarratt. I have a month's membership on FMP. Does it cost me 10 pounds to download that will? There is only a possibility that he is John Ware blacksmith of Ashley Green's father. Thanks. Julie
