Default Kent Wills & Probate Indexes 1328-1890 - findmypast

The Kent Wills & Probate Indexes 1328-1890 is a collection of indexes containing over 63,000 records from seven different ecclesiastical Church of England courts. This is a collection of indexes comprised from four separate sources: the West Kent Probate index 1750-1890, West Kent Probate Index 1440-1857, Kent Inventories 1571-1842 and Kent Will Abstracts 1328-1691, and includes 14 different types of document.

Each record includes a transcript for the original index, which can include the testator’s name, status/occupation, probate date, their residence or the location of their estate, any other names mentioned in their will and any additional notes. They will also list the court, document type, document reference and source.
