Default FMP signature help

I'd appreciate a second opinion on this - 1754 Thomas Abbet marriage at Branscombe and 1786 John Abbott marriage at Shute. Is the groom's signature in 1754 the same as the witness' signature in 1786?

Ah. I was thinking there were similarities. The m and a looked very alike to me. I did think that it might be a more confident hand of experience as you say. Thanks
