What site does one look up bdm for Wales?

If you mean post-1837, then they are on FreeBMD, also depending which county, North Wales BMD:

If you want parish registers, they are on Findmypast, with the images available, but I can't find a way to search all the Welsh parish registers together and nothing else; you either have to search everything or pick a county.

Thanks Kate, am doing this for someone else, I've never looked up Wales before and I only have Wales as the address. They had children in 1900 in Australia, so I guess I am looking around 1870-80. I don't even know at this stage if they married here or in Wales. Think I'm clutching at straws here! Will have to find out more information.

Well Libby, I am not happy about the spelling of the surname. It was given to me as "Daved" Not sure if that is really a welsh name or not.

Gwendoline Margaret Daved was born in (NSW) in 1900 (and I can't find it)- her parents are allegedly Louis Daved and Alice Tindall. That's all I have. I don't know how long Louis & Alice were in Australia, only that they were born in Wales.

Don't do anything yet tho - want to check other computer.

What I would like to know is DAVED a Welsh surname?

Louis or Alice's death cert should have how long they were in the Australia and where they were born. It might be worth getting that.

Do you know if Alice has a second name? Found an Alice Emily Tindall born Wales.

That's the problem - I can't find either of their death certificates because I don't think Daved is right - I've looked under David, Davey etc.

So I can't tell the girl I'm doing it for, to get a death certificate is we cant find their death

There's a tree on Ancestry but it's only got the info you have already. Could that be your friend's?
