Online catalogue for the Library of the Society of Friends

Dear Friends, "We are very pleased to announce the launch of our new online catalogue of Archive and Library collections. For the first time, records of our archival and manuscript collections are now available to search online, alongside our growing catalogue of printed materials. Search across Quaker collections at www.quaker.org.uk/cat. The new catalogue currently holds records for: over half of the printed material in the Library: books, pamphlets, broadsides, periodicals archives of most Britain Yearly Meeting committees going back to the 17th century archives of London & Middlesex Quaker meetings archives of other Quaker and Quaker associated organisations, such as Friends Ambulance Unit and Friends Temperance and Moral Welfare Union over 1,000 manuscript collections and personal papers of Quakers and Quaker families, such as the diaries of Elizabeth Fry You can use the new catalogue to find out more about what we hold, search for material in new ways, and get the information you need to plan your research, even before visiting the Library.
