Default Family Tree Maker

I keep getting emails offering special offers for FTM. I've never used it. Is it worth getting?

I suppose it depends on whether you already have a family tree program that you are happy with, Shona. Though some people buy FTM just for the ancestry sub that can be included with it - you would have to check what the particular offer is though as it varies. I like FTM better than the other tree building programs that I have tried, and it is the one I use for my tree.

Amazon are selling FTM 2014 with 6 months Premium Ancestry sub for £29.98 at the moment - that's a really good price.

I've only ever used FTM so I couldn't say how it compares with other programs, but I really like it. My only grouch would be the charts, which I think could be improved.
