Ancestry has a William Carr / Grace Pill marriage 29 Jun 1755 at Bratton in their Wiltshire Marriages. It says they were both of the parish of Bratton and he was a bachelor. Looking at a map, Bratton is the next village to Edington.
The marriage is also transcribed on the Wiltshire OPC site:
http://www.wiltshire-opc.org.uk/Item...01750-1799.pdf

and Bratton has an OPC:

Edington also has one:

FamilySearch has a William Carr buried 2 Oct 1824 at Edington but doesn't give his age. And a christening for Grace Pill 30 Nov 1729 at Bratton, parents Thomas and Bridget.

Oooh, I have ancestors from Bratton and Westbury - Sainsbury, Newman and Cook - mid 1700s onwards.

Ooh, thank you, I always forget to check OPC. Off to investigate.

Sorry Merry, so far no Sainsburys, Newmans or Cooks from Wiltshire in my tree.
