There is an unsourced tree on Ancestry which shows his birth year as 1735 in Monk Sherborne, his wife as Ann Brown & his parents as Charles Phillips & Mary. Further children are shown as Philip (b 1760), Mary (b 1762), Tabitha Dorcas (b 1765), and George (b 1767).

Looks like the Ancestry tree might be correct then.

I presume that Baughurst is near Monk Sherborne. I found burials for a Philip Phillips and an Ann Phillips at Baughurst in 1803 and 1806, so maybe they are 'mine'.

Sue, I have a parish map for Hampshire (thanks to my Mum).
Monk Sherborne is in North Hampshire and Baughurst is even further north and slightly to the west, right on the county border.
