John Benton and Elizabeth
I thought I had done a huge amount of work on this couple. If so, it must have been on the laptop which was stolen.
I have John Benton: Died 31 October and buried 2 September 1810. I sincerely hope not! He did die in 1810, in Hilgay, Norfolk. He was a victualler according to his will: which should be on Norfolk Sources, but I cannot locate it. He was then aged 72, so born about 1738 - 1740. He and Elizabeth had four children named in the will: William in America, Thomas, John and Elizabeth who married Richard Reeve. I think that Thomas married Sarah Smith: there are a lot of Smith Bentons floating about. Hilgay appears to have sucked people in. John and Elizabeth the children were baptised there in 1773 and 1776, but I assume the others were older. Lots of nonconformity in the family, to add spice to the search!

This is his will, Kite:
Benton, John, victualler, of Hilgay 1810 NCC will register Overton 194 What you have found is the death duty register, which I know I have looked at too I can't remember whether Norfolk Sources misses out NCC wills entirely, but I can't find the next will either.
