Thomas Abbot(t) was baptised 23 March 1728 (1729) Branscombe, Devon, son of John and Elizabeth Abbott.

He married 8 Jul 1754 Branscombe, Devon, Elizabeth Carnell, who was baptised 2 Apr 1731 at Kingsteignton, Devon, daughter of John and Julian Carnell. The couple had six sons and 4 daughters all baptised at Branscombe

Thomas died 27 Jul 1809 and was buried at Branscombe 31 Jul 1809 aged 80.
Elizabeth was buried at Branscombe 16 Apr 1815, address Berry Hill, aged 84.
