Default John Phedon/Feadon

Name - "official" name and what they were known as
John Peidan
(as spelt at baptism) modern descendents settled on FEADON, also PEDEN, PEDAN, PHEADON, PHEDON, you get the picture

Date and place of birth
mid 1761, Martock Somerset

Names of parents
Richard Peden and Susannah Furnidge

There are many transcriptions of these names, and while I can track the PEDEN name and variations, I am stumped by FURNIDGE, there are few occurences in Somerset.

6 Jul 1761, All Saints, Martock Somerset

Details of each of his or her marriages - if any

married (1) Joan Harvey 22 April 1788 St Martin, Kingsbury Episcopi Somerset. Joan died and was buried 14 Dec 1788, the same day her daughter Joan was baptised.

(2) Mary Lovell (widow) nee INDOE/INDER 31 Aug 1790, All Saints Martock


Children Joan (1788) Anne (1791), Susannah (1793), John (1795) and Mary (1798)

Could Furnidge be a variant of Furmage? That name crops up frequently in neighbouring Dorset.

Quite possibly Pheonix, also the spelling Farmidge occurs around the area.

Peden also seems to come from over Dorset way
