James Hedger
bp 28 Jan 1770, Cranley, son of Jeremiah Hedger and Elizabeth nee Linegar
married Ann Longhurst 2 Oct 1792, Cranley (because he had to) Eldest child b 1792 Cranley, next few at Albury and youngest b 1804 at Wonersh. An Ag lab. In 1841 living in "Yeldes House" Lordshill Road, Wonersh, Surrey GU5 0TP. Now a Grade 2 listed building, then probably tumble down & ruinous, with wife Ann, widowed son in law James Broomfield & three grandsons. In 1851 living in Hull Hatch, yet another Grade 2 listed building: Long Common, Wonersh, Surrey GU5 0TG, withson James & family. James died aged 87 15 April 1858 at Hull Hatch. The informant was his neighbour Richard Comber. He was buried in Wonersh 20 April 1858. No will or memorial stone.
