Default John Slade of Stogumber, Somerset

Charity Slade was baptised on 6th January 1694 at Monksilver, Somerset , her parents John and Jane Slade (of Stogumber).
John Slade and Jane Baker were married on 5 June 1677 at Monksilver, Somerset (of Stogumber).
Baptism of Children of John and Jane Slade at Monksilver and Stogumber: Mary 1678-1681, Joane 1679, John 1682, John 1684, Jane 1686, Richard ?- 1687, Thomas 1688, Frances, 1692, Charity 1694.
A Richard Slade married Johane Croftman at Monksilver on 30 May 1655.
I have found baptisms of children of Richard and Johane (Joane) – Johane 1659, Simon 1661, William 1665, Mary 1667.
Also found Joane Slade buried 22/6/1668, wife of Richard. Richard Slade buried 24/7/1668.
I am hoping that there is a baptism of John Slade between 1655 (Marriage of Richard & Johane) and Johane’s baptism Feb 1659. Help!!

The Stogumber baptisms for that period are transcribed on here:

http://www.wsom.org.uk/Registers/StogBap16531713.htm

but I don't even see Johane on there, never mind John. I guess we're supposed to be looking at Monksilver instead of Stogumber?

So here are the transcriptions of the Monksilver baptisms:
http://www.wsom.org.uk/Registers/MonkBap16531690.htm

He isn't on there either, but it does say "page damaged". Also this would be the "interregnum" period which is tricky for parish registers.

Thanks Kate, it is really odd with Monksilver and Stogumber registers, sometimes a baptism is in both registers and other times in one. I even found a burial a number of years apart for a Jane and it had the same reg no. Thanks for looking. Julie
