Mallam family
Charles and Eliza Mallam and family are in St. George Hanover Square in 1851
HO107; Piece: 1477; Folio: 331; Page: 19 on Ancestry name transcribed as HALAM Charles senior must have died sometime before 1861 as Eliza marries a George Earl in 1857. Can anyone find any of them from 1861 onwards. I did find a marriage of Charles junior in 1865 to a Mary Winbolt/Winboult, but can't find anything further on them. Have been unable to find any marriages for the two girls. Thanks. |

Aha! A public tree on ancestry led me to this 1861 Canadian census entry:
1861 Canada census Belleville, Hastings County, Canada West George Earl, baker, born England, age 48, married Eliza Earl, wife, born England, age 45, married Charles Malam, labourer, born England, residence England, age 19, single Mary Ann Malam Daughter of Mrs E, born England, age 17, single Mary Ann Earl Daughter of Mr, born England, age 15, single William Earl Son of Mr Earl, born England, age 13, single Eliza Malam Daughter of Mrs Earl, born England, age 11, single James Earl Son of Mr Earl, born England, age 11, single Caroline Earl Daughter of Mr Earl, born England, age 7, single. I wish all censuses spelled out how everyone was related to each other so clearly! |
