Default Thomas Humphreys (MMMMFMF)

Name - "official" name and what they were known as: Thomas Humphreys

Occupation(s): Shoe Maker

Addresses where they lived: Daughter Elizabeth was born circa 1809 in Prees, Shropshire according to census returns for her.

Link to daughter Elizabeth: http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/f...beth+humphreys

I am sorry that this is all the info I have for Thomas. He and his occupation are named on his daughter's 2nd marriage cert.

There is a Thomas Humphreys age 60 in Prees on the 1841 census but he is a smith. Wife Sarah 60 and son John 20. And he is still a blacksmith in 1851.

Possible relative in 1851 - John Humphries age 53, shoemaker and Chelsea Pensioner born Salop Prees, living in Gloucester with wife Elizabeth age 45 born Cornwall Probert.

Thank you Kite for those two. The possible relative born in Prees is looking promising. I dont know how likely someone who was a shoemaker would then become a blacksmith would be; probably highly unlikely.

I don't think it is very likely.
