Oh, but there is an Isobel Moyes who married John Young in 1769 at Dysart, Fife, and they go on having children all through the 1770's so that could be the one born Abbotshall.

I'll search those forward - thank you. Had noticed the Abbotshall one, but not the other.

I've found a death of Isabel Moyes, widow of James Whyte, died 3 November 1824 in Aberdour, buried 6 November. Wonder if there may have been a remarriage?

James Whyte and Isobel Moyes had a child Jannet christened 21 Feb 1767 at Aberdour and an Andrew in 1773 so can't be the same Isobel as yours.

There seem to have been loads of women called Isobel Moyes - FamilySearch also has a baptism for an Anna Flockhart 27 Jun 1768 at Aberdour, parents Alexander Flockhart and Isobel Moyes.

And the Flockharts have a child born 30 Nov 1770 so again, can't be the same Isobel as yours.
Then there is a couple John Lochtie and Isobel Moyes who had a son Thomas born 5 Jun 1784. |
