Looking for a Will - Genealogists' Forum

I'm looking for a Will for William Mills, died Nov 1760 in Holborn, London.

I can't find anything on Ancestry's London Wills and Probate collection, or in the National Archives Wills.

His father and son both left Wills, so I'd be surprised if he didn't have one - can anyone suggest anywhere else to look?

I did once find a will on British Origins which had not been indexed on the National Archives Documents Online, but the problem with that site is that you have to pay a sub before you can search properly. They do have a few will indexes but you could well end up paying and finding nothing.

The London Metropolitan Archives had access to a catalogue and wills which do not appear on Ancestry.

There is also the possibility that he died suddenly before he had the opportunity to make a will. The PCC administrations are not online but can be viewed at the National Archives.

Mmm, he was only in his 40s so perhaps he wasn't quite ready to go...
