Default Name help, please.

Another image from Lincs to the Past.

It's the right-hand page, about half-way down. It is the first burial. Just after anno 1599.

I won't say what I think/hope it says so as not to influence you.

It's something Robte Furnasse but I'm not sure about the something! At first I thought it was Andrew & Robte but I don't think so.

It's got those two long s's in it - if you look at Atkinson on the next page there is one in that.

Kate, I think you are correct.

I was hoping it would be Richard Popple, but I think that was my vivid imagination. I haven't been able to kill him off. His last child (to my knowledge) was born in 1575.

The Furnasse surname is in Scotton at that time:
