Default John Benton

Baptised Hilgay, son of John Benton & Elizabeth

Married Susanna Cooper 10 May 1797 Hilgay, Norfolk

Died 23 March 1844 Tilney All Saints, Norfolk aged 72 of natural decay, informant Maria Allen - who I assume was a local nurse.

Buried 27 March 1844, Tilney All Saints.

Made his will 1842, when he described himself as a yeoman of Tilney.

Lived at Hilgay till at least 1811 (He was his father's eldest son and his father died in 1810, and he benefited under that will)

In 1817 he was in Southery where his youngest daughter was baptised.

He was probably farming in Kettlestone c 1830.

I thought that there was a gravestone to him, but the NAOMI website has disappeared, so I can't check
