According to the 1851 census she was born in St. Veep. Familysearch have some baptisms for that parish in the right period, but she isn't listed.

Thanks Mary.
It's strange not to be able to find her birth or baptism, she has such an unusual surname.

You didn't give the full marriage date, Morf. So do you have this? Seems a little confused. The book is "Burials" but the collection is "Registers of Marrisges, 1572 1812" [sic!].

EDIT: You might have got your info from here (Pallot's Marriage Index for England: 1780 - 1837)?

What do you think of this baptism? St Kew is next to St Mabyn.

Actually I'm concluding, Morf, that it's not such an uncommon name, at least in Cornwall, and I also see a lot of people by the same name or similar in Australia and Canada. You might want to try a very amorphous wildcard search like M*nh*n* to bring up variations.

What does anyone think this says?
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?h...c=&pid=1035976
I think it says
Menheniott, see Menhennit

And this one says
Menhennicke, see Menhennit
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?h...c=&pid=1035988

And this one says
Menhenock, see Menhinnit
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?h...c=&pid=1035997

And there is this which includes a Menheniott variation:

There is a Jane Menhinick death in 1773. Eggloshaile/Egloshayle is also next to St Mabyn. (I don't know what the A stands for.)

Thank you Janet, you've worked really hard there.
I did get the marriage from the Pallot's Index.
Yes, you are correct about the many variations.
I'll try the wildcard idea too.
Thanks again.
