There's either a mistake on the 1851 census or Hannah took up with Thomas' son Thomas after Thomas senior died as she's on later census with those 2 children & her Husband Thomas born ca 1828.

There's 11 children baptised at Scothern 1848 - 1874 parents Thomas & Hannah on FreeREG. There's also 6 burial, one which I think is Thomas' wife Mary.

Guess Hannah was supposed to be listed as daughter in law not wife on the 1851 census?

Thankyou Jay, I haven't looked at this branch of the family for a long time - I now remember seeing the 1851 census back in the days when I didn't have a computer of my own and being surprised that he'd taken up with a younger woman!

Thankyou for what you have found.
