Walloon and Huguenot Parish Records for Norwich
My half sister's 3X Great Grandfather was John Harl, born c 1780. We cannot find a birth/baptism or marriage to Prudence Prior for him or anything to get further back. We believe that there is Dutch ancestry somewhere, as some of the children married in a Dutch church in Norwich.
We have found about 4 Harell/Harel baptisms in the Walloon (now Stranger's Hall) in Norwich and have found that there is a CD available with the Parish Registers. We wondered if anyone had these Parish Registers and if they would be kind enough to see what they could find on Harel or Harl. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks as if we aren't going to get any further with this line. Oh well, will have to save the pennies and get that CD.

I don't have the CD but its good to know that someone knows that the Huguenots were in Norfolk. I don't know much about the Walloons - are they the flemish speaking Belgians?

French speaking - like my Billiard antecedents, some of whom started off in Norwich.
Bonsoir! AN
