Default Some census image queries

The reference is RG13; Piece: 4351; Folio: 151; Page: 46.
(1901)
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?...=&pid=27716974

In 1901, Thomas and Elizabeth Rathbone are living with two of their children, John Silas and Lucy Mabel -

If this is right, Elizabeth would have been about 54 when Lucy was born. Is this likely ? - ---- ****Edit** Please ignore this bit - my maths is rubbish - she would have been 44!!!

Also I am having difficulty reading some of the occupations -

Thomas Rathbone - retired cordwainer Boston?

George Stacey ( the lodger who went on to marry Lucy) - Is his occupation horse something Boston ?

Also, next door, live Ruth and William Babbington (Ruth was another of Thomas and Elizabeth's children. I cannot make out William's occupation - Manager (Grocer) ... ?

Thank you for any help

I make Elizabeth 64 and Lucy 20, so Elizabeth would have been 44.

Back in a mo.

Thomas looks like retired cordwainer Boston.

For George I can see horse ? but nothing else fits in.........

William looks like Manager Process ??? Then there is a word above Manager but below Horse? and I can't work out which person it's for.

So I'm useless at this....lol

Wouldn't be "horse breaker" would it??? Doesn't seem to be enough letters, but the one above is dressmaker and the last past after the "horse" bit is the same. The letters below are "sint" I think. Maybe "horse" is wrong but it starts with H.

Thanks Libby - that would fit I think, as George's father was a blacksmith

Oh yes, I think that must be right Rachel, as he is a bootmaker in an earlier census - makes more sense than Boston!
