New information: found Elizabeth's baptism:
between 6-8 Jun 1831 [image is faint] at St. Giles in the Fields.

Married Dennis McCarthy (known after 1866 as James Carter)
19 June 1848 Trinity Church, St. Andrew Holborn
Elizabeth's address on her marriage cert was 12 Saffron Street, Saffron Hill

McCarthy family (Dennis calling himself James) are in Clerkenwell with children Emily Alice & William

also a lodger, Charles Goodwin, whose surname is the same as Elizabeth's maiden name, and who states his birthplace, like her's as Long Acre. Charles' parents were John Goodwin, a carpenter, and Frances. I haven't yet worked out the connection with Elizabeth.

still called Carter. Their blind son Richard and his wife Emma, who was also blind, are in the next household, using McCarthy surname.

1907 Jan-Mar Elizabeth's husband's death registered in West Ham as Dennis James McCarthy.

29 Jun 1911, Elizabeth McCarthy aged 82, widow of Dennis McCarthy, a wine cooper (journeyman), cause of death: ischio-rectal abscess, exhaustion, cardiac syncope, certified by S.R. Blake L.R.C.G.
Informant: A. Layton, son-in-law, present at the death, 134 Monega Road, Forest Gate, 30 May 1911.
