Can anyone find them in the 1901 census?

They were the children of Arthur Jarvis, a chemist who died in 1900 by his first wife.

On the 1891 census their birthplace is given as London.

In 1894, they were 12, 10 and 8 and living at 53 Dalston Lane. The SPCC brought a case against the father and stepmother for ill-treatment.

By 1901, Arthur's children by his second wife were farmed out among the maternal aunts but I've lost Mabel, Flossie & Bertie. I've looked on FMP, but cannot see obvious candidates for migration.

On familysearch 1901 census, there is a Herbert Jarvis age 14, who is in Horton Kirby, Dartford Kent, born London, inmate of Institution. FMP says its a school, RG/13/710

Familysearch also has 18 year old Florence Jarvis, servant born in Islington London, in St Marks, Eccles Bierlow, Yorkshire.

No luck with Mabel.

How about these two? Florrie is 20, single, a Hosp. Nurse; Mabel is 24, single, a servant (cook domestic).

Thank you both!

With such common names they are intent on disappearing into the shadows.

Harriet appears to have cast her entire family to the winds by 1901. I feel sorry for all of the children. And I can't think why not a peep of this filtered down to later generations.
