Default Joseph James Denison 1804-1863 London

Joseph James Denison, son of Samuel Price Denison and Margaret Denison nee Davis
baptised 24 Sep 1804 St Andrew Holborn, family abode Shoe Lane.

married Caroline Sarah Higho 09 Feb 1825 at St. Giles Cripplegate, City of London. Address was Milton Street.

1828 Joseph James Denison, watchmaker of 18 Goswell Road, nearly opposite Wynyatt Street took out an insurance policy on his house for £300.

1829 listed in Robson's Directory as watch & clock maker of 18 Goswell Road.
1830 Robson's Directory lists him as watchmaker, same address.

1831 Joseph James & C.S. Denison witnessed marriage of Joseph's brother Charles Timothy Denison to Elizabeth Rose Hawks at St. Giles Cripplegate.

1844 Joseph gave evidence at the Old Bailey in defence of his future son-in-law, William Robins. He gave his address as Golden Lane.

Children:
Caroline Sarah 1825-26 address in burial register is Radnor Street.

1841 address 37 Ray Street, Clerkenwell
1851 address 37 Ray Street, Clerkenwell
1861 address 17 Lee Stret, Shoreditch, Joseph is now widowed and lodging with son-in-law William Hawks and his daughters Jane Hawks and Emma Denison.

Death
24 August 1863, at 17 Lee Street, Kingsland Road, Haggerston. Age at death 60. Cause: disease of the lungs. 18 months. Certified. Informant Blanche Wilkins of the same address. (no idea who Blanche is/was!?)

Burial - not found yet.
