On the memorial is the key to the puzzle I faced concerning the identity of Jane Hall- the burial of Arnold Hall in 1846.
Arnold was a witness of the marriage of James Newton and Jane Newton at St Saviour, Southwark in 1834. James Newton's grandfather was Thomas Hall, brother to James Hall, who was Arnold's father. They were first cousins once removed. |
