Help me get my head around this please!
I just have my Ancestry DNA results back.
To my surprise, I have a 1-2 and 2-3 cousin match that I don't know by name, and I thought I knew, or knew of all my cousins and second cousins. I certainly can work out from the names who all the other close matches are, even when they have not posted trees. As I posted before Christmas, my paternal grandmother was adopted and I am trying to trace her origins. The two matches also match my cousins daughter, and the grandchild of my cousins sister, but they do not match our second cousin on our paternal line. So am I therefore correct in thinking they must be related to my mysterious grandmother?? If so, how easy was that! I have messaged the 1-2 cousin match so I am anxiously waiting...….

They messaged me independently from my initial contact, and although I have messaged them twice yesterday, I have had nothing back as yet. However I have done my own research, which I have put in Sensitive Research, because I am still working through it and don't want it picked up by Google.
