FamilySearch has a marriage for a Mary Maton to Robert Selwood 18 Oct 1823 at Enford, and also a burial for a Mary Maton 16 Nov 1825. Annoyingly it doesn't give the age of the one who was buried in 1825 so I don't know whether it is likely to be this one or her mother. I'll see if I can find out anything about the one who married Robert Selwood.

Thanks for looking Kiterunner
A few years ago I hired the LDS film for Enford parish registers & I made no note of the submitted baptism entry, or the possible marriage and burial that you've found. But at that time I'd only just started on this line, so quite possibly missed those entries whilst looking for many other names. I will go and look at the census entries you've found and make a note of the possibilities. Interestingly, I have a family of Sellwoods (also from Charlton) marrying into another of my Wiltshire lines. Not that unusual though, most of my Wiltshire side didn't travel far and intermarried quite a lot Sue |

Thankyou very much for the further information Kiterunner. I can't look at Ancestry at the moment, it's being a pain saying I've exceeded my licence
I get the feeling though, that this is my 4x gt grandmother, what do you think? I wonder if there is any more information in the parish register for her marriage. I'll try and give Wilts RO a ring later, hopefully they could also confirm that submitted baptism. Thanks again, Sue |

I've just phoned Wiltshire & Swindon History centre in Chippenham & they were very helpful
They confirmed: The baptism of Mary Maton on 18 Jan 1789 parents Thomas & Mary The burial of Mary Maton 16 Nov 1825 aged 75 Also gave me Thomas & Mary's marriage. All opinions welcome, but I think this means I'm another generation back. Can't do much more today, granddaughter is now awake so I must go & play Sue |

I think it's very likely to be her; it all seems to fit together.
