Default On this day........

in 1918, along with anyone celebrating that the war was over, My grandmother was at 1, Deans Court, London swearing she was fit to marry her boyfriend, getting a licence to marry.

I hadn't noticed the significance of the date, it was my Dad who spotted it. We were discussing the fact that his Mum had married in a hurry and I told him I had the "allegation" and showed it to him, he commented that it was Armistace day, I'd just not noticed. So poor Grandma had other things on her mind at the end of the war!
