I had a family who lived in the same house for years spanning several census, father was a foreman at a local weaving factory, so when I read that one child had been born in Prussia, I snorted and moved on. I was astonished when I eventually found a long article in the parish mag, detailing this man's life, including the fact that he was sent to Prussia by his employer in order to instruct locals how to operate the machinery in the new factory which had been set up out there!
