Julie.............TNA has a will for a Martin Driver from Kent who was a carpenter It is dated 1776. I wonder if he could be your fellow's uncle or grandfather.

Sounds interesting Libby, you would think there has to be a connection. Martin not being the most common name and in the timber industry.
What would I need to do to purchase it? Does it give a place in Kent? Thanks Julie |

I purchased the will of Martin Driver Sen. It is very interesting but does not mention my Martin, it mentions his wife Sarah, brother Samuel, his niece and nephew (Samuel's children) Elizabeth and Samuel. There are some place names I can't read but it mentions parish of Chivington and then says Chivingstone which I believe is the Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells area, so I would say they are probably connected. Maybe Thomas, Martin's father, was another brother? When I get a chance I will try to transcribe it and get some help please? Thanks Julie
