Hi Sue,
FreeReg had just one marriage for Kent. I thought you probably would have looked at FamilySearch. County Kent Place Southfleet Church St Nicholas of Myra RegisterNumber MarriageDate 03 Nov 1804 GroomForename John GroomSurname BATT GroomCondition Bachelor BrideForename Elizabeth BrideSurname TERRY BrideCondition Spinster WitnessOneForename Elizabeth WitnessOneSurname HART WitnessTwoForename William WitnessTwoSurname MULLENDER Notes By Banns, NB : Both Bride & Groom and the 1st Witness all signed their mark with an "X", also no Reg No given for this entry ? FileNumber 18666 I don't know if this fits with anything you have for the daughter? |

I have wondered about this marriage - which I found on Family search - but love the extra detail on freereg- and I do think it looks the most likely, Daughter was baptised in 1814 in Ash, Kent. I assume this was Ash Nr Sevenoaks (Everyone else seems to be from Nr Sevenoaks) Southfleet is about 5.5 miles from there.
There is a possible entry in 1841 census, in Northfleet, daughter Elizabeth isn't with them and can only find a baptism for one of the children listed, Mary, in Hartley, Kent, halfway between Ash and Southfleet! I just have no conclusive evidence! |

Just managed to track down that there is a John Batt baptised in Ash at the right time and Elizabeth Terry baptised in Southfleet, It does all seem to fit!!!! If it's right........
