Ancestry question.
I have a tree on Ancestry that I’ve made private at the moment.
If I open it to public or if I let a contact see it, will they see the living people I can see? I thought maybe if I make it public then they would only show as ‘living’, but I wasn’t sure about letting others have access.

When you invite someone to view your tree, you can choose whether or not that person can view living people. If you make your tree public, details of living people will not be shown.

That's right, I inadvertently marked someone's death as Unknown, instead of leaving it blank. I got a message saying please take this person out of your tree as they are still living. Once I deleted the unknown date of death and marked them as living, I asked the messager to check that they were not visible from their end.
