How to search your DNA matches for people with no user name
Just seen this on Facebook and thought I would post it on here for reference - somehow, some people can show up in your list of DNA matches with no name at all, and now you can search for them by putting "Null" in the Match Name search field. Nobody seems to know how they managed to have no user name in the first place but at least we can find them now.

Good grief I had no idea but I have 12 plus three that presumably has Null as a name in their trees because they have usernames.

I have a few too and strangely most have some sort of tree.
The one I first picked has a picture which shows he is about 15 but the tree is over 3000 and searchable.

My daughter only seems to have about 5 (all 12 cM or less) but no shared matches with her grandfather! So hers must be from her Dad's side, or her grandmother. I have checked a few with small family trees attached - most seem to be US families. |
